French Ham Sandwich

Preheat oven to to150°C. Place rye bread on a lightly buttered baking sheet. Spread the mustard on one slice of bread, then cover with one slice of Swiss. Place the other slice of Swiss cheese on the other piece of bread and top with ham slices. Join the two halves as a sandwich. Bake until cheese is melted, about 12 minutes.
If your child doesn?t care for mustard, replace it with any condiment or sauce he does like!
- 3 hearty slices of ham
- 2 slices light rye bread
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 slices rye bread
- 5 mL Dijon mustard
