Make it

Set the oven at 220˚C.

Roll out the pastry to a 20cm square, 1.5mm thick. Cut into 10cm squares.

Remove the red rind from cheeses.

Cut the ham into squares, slightly smaller than the pastry squares.

Brush the pastry lightly with beaten egg, and place a slice of ham on each square of pastry.

Place a cheese on each and fold the pastry in half to form a triangle. Press edges firmly to seal.

Place the triangles on a baking sheet and brush the tops with beaten egg.

Bake in the heated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

  • 1 (85g) sheet from a 340g pack
  • frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 4 small Babybel cheeses
  • 4 thin slices ham
  • 1 egg, beaten
